Jazz Jungle

Jazz Jungle is the combination of live jazz playing and Jungle music. Theo Buckingham our ‘Jungle Drummer’ along with max Buckingham on Bass provides the backbone of this music. Other instrumentation adds to the textures above this, usually with keys, synths, sax, as well as percussion, Tabla and other instruments and because it is live the energy is high and the speed remains hectic. A good example of this is the 'Harty Room' concert. This is taking the musical integrity of Jazz and the improvisational and communicative part of jazz and fusing it with the power, speed and rhythms of Jungle music.

Another combination is mixing the live music with a DJ, almost as if the band becomes another instrument. This would more easily fall under our Drum and Bass section.

This set up has performed many gigs including Club mono in Dublin, the Front Page, and the Menagerie and the empire in Belfast.

Currently available to play in London or other parts of the UK (plus travel)
