________________

THE FACTS

· The mood of the night is relaxed, experimental and playful.

· Every month a mixed bill of sketches and character pieces will form the backbone of the show. There will also be sketches and short comic films shown on a big screen.

· There’ll be live music and a great jazz funk band (GP ensemble) as the house band who are up for being joined by performers for improvised absurdist jazz monologues!

· Shenanigans will include updates and activities relating to Fix campaigns.

· The whole club will be festooned with bizarre artworks and proclamations that will infect the whole environment and the street outside.

The event is produced in collaboration with Harry Deansway's ranting, degenerate, grammatically anarchic Fix website and no-budget comedy film empire. http://www.thefixonline.com. It’s hosted by Chris “Tobias Fortnight” Head and sidekick Unit, appearing as Fortnight & Unit. Fortnight & Unit material co-written with Barry Ferns.

POSITIVE PRESS FOR PAST HEAD & FERNS PROJECTS:

“The Leisure Virus belongs to a contemporary thread of humour that can be found in television series such as Big Train and The League of Gentlemen, as well as the work of Chris Morris. This would only be a problem if The Leisure Virus were not bold, original and fresh, which it is, and deliciously funny too.” The Scotsman “Doreen is experimental and subversive in the extreme – certainly not a show for fans of straight stand-up. Unsurprisingly then, I consider it one of the best comedy performances I’ve seen this festival… See Doreen – you probably won’t understand it, but you might just love it.” 3 Weeks “Like Chris Morris they combine non-conformity with innovation… addictive” Edinburgh Evening News “a showcase of considerable talent… comically inspired” The List “deliciously surreal… a virus well worth catching” Kensington & Chelsea News “having picked up steam at the Edinburgh Fringe, they may well produce big things” Sunday Times “the Virus team infect the audience with so much laughter someone should call a paramedic” The Guardian
